Endangered Protections

CPR Initiative supporters well understand that current federal rules aiming to restrict greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, however hard-fought, amount to a scarcely adequate response to the climate crisis. But that does not mean they should be jettisoned altogether – in particular, those restricting emissions from power plants, oil and gas facilities, and light-duty vehicles – especially where there is in law no more stringent set of protections that would spring up to take their place.
