Fossil Fuel Divest Harvard and Fossil Free Research

Ilana Cohen is an organizer of the Fossil Fuel Divest Harvard and Fossil Free Research campaigns, working to end the toxic influence of the fossil fuel industry in higher education and expedite a just renewable energy transition. She is also a climate policy consultant and freelance climate journalist. Ilana previously worked as a staff writer for Inside Climate News and has bylines in publications including The Nation, Los Angeles Times, Teen Vogue, Newsweek, The Progressive, and Climate Tracker. As a senior and Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics Undergraduate Fellow at Harvard University, Ilana studies Social Studies and Philosophy with a focus on the ethics of climate change. She plans to pursue climate law and policy after college and is originally from Brooklyn, New York.
