CPR Initiative Economics & Policy Fellow
Tess Louie has joined us for the summer as a CPR Initiative Economics & Policy Fellow.
Tess received her B.A. in Political Science and Economics from the University of California Los Angeles in 2023. She will return to UCLA this fall to pursue a M.A. in quantitative economics.
Prior to joining CPR Initiative, Tess served as a data and policy analyst at Acumen, LLC, where she provided logistic and analytic support to the Health Resources and Services Administration’s COVID-19 Provider Relief Programs.

CPR Initiative Climate Law Fellow
Alex Loznak joined the Law Office of Daniel M. Galpern as an Associate Attorney in February 2024.
Alex received his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2023 and a B.A. in Sustainable Development and Political Science from Columbia University in 2019.
Prior to joining Dan’s law firm, Alex served as a legal extern at Vestas Wind Systems, a law clerk at WildEarth Guardians, a fellow at the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program at the U.O. Law School, a law clerk at the Climate Protection and Restoration Initiative, and a researcher at the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law at Columbia Law School. Alex also serves as a named Plaintiff in the well-known climate case Juliana v. United States.
