Background: Dan Galpern, long-time legal and policy adviser to renowned climate scientist James E. Hansen, and the General Counsel and Executive Director of Climate Protection and Restoration Initiative, is coming to Tacoma to give a special presentation at the University of Puget Sound entitled, Our Endangered Climate and the Rule of Law. His talk will build on Climate Change and the Rule of Law, a featured piece published February 27, 2025 in the Eugene Weekly on the occasion of the 43^rd Public Interest Environmental Law Conference.

At Tacoma Green Drinks, April 2025, Dan will be pleased to meet with political leaders, policymakers, citizen-activists, and others concerned with the rapid erosion of the rule of law at the federal level, and to advance the thesis that the rule of law is necessary for our nation to exercise global leadership concerning the climate crisis.
